About Us
Our mission is to ensure that ALL Harborside students receive a rigorous, high-quality instruction in a collaborative learning environment where there is an emphasis on academics as well as social/ emotional learning. We want to ensure that all students develop the confidence and necessary skills to be independent thinkers, effective communicators, and be socially conscious and contributing global citizens.

The Continuing Student Enrollment process for the 2026–27 school year is now open for all returning students in the Chula Vista Elementary School District (CVESD).

At the May 20, 2026, Board of Education Meeting, the Chula Vista Elementary School District (CVESD) adopted a resolution designating May 2026 as Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

The Chula Vista Elementary School District’s (CVESD) Sound Station received the Innovate Honorable Mention Award from the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) during the 23rd Annual Innovation in Education Awards ceremony on May 14, 2026.

The Chula Vista Elementary School District’s goal is to foster a sense of shared responsibility and accountability, supporting the home-school connection and ensuring high-quality learning experiences for all students (Goal 5 of the LCAP). As part of the district-wide initiative to increase family engagement, CVESD has a Parent Ambassador Program to strengthen partnerships among families, schools, and the district.
